Hey! I started building Axolive because I was exhausted by modern productivity software. Every app wants a $60/year subscription, requires an account, and tries to force an AI coach onto a basic timer.
I don't need an AI coach. I just need something cute that creates real psychological friction when I reach for Instagram mid-work.

Before you adopt an axolotl.
Can I lock my phone during a session?
Yes. Locking your iPhone counts as phone-down, so put it face-down and study. The screen stays awake while a session runs, so it won't auto-lock on you either. Opening another app is what counts as leaving: after 10 seconds away, the session fails.
What happens if my pet dies?
Miss your 15-minute floor for 3 days in a row with no freezes left, and your axolotl dies. It moves to the graveyard with its level, peak streak and focus minutes on its headstone. Then you hatch a new baby axolotl. Your best streak and lifetime stats carry over.
How do streak freezes work?
You start with one. A freeze is used automatically when you miss a day, so your streak survives and your pet stays healthy. You earn another one for every 7-day streak, and you can bank up to two.
Is it on Android or iPad?
Not yet. Axolive is a native iPhone app for iOS 27. Android and iPad aren't planned for the first release.
Is the beta free?
Yes. The TestFlight beta is free. You'll get an invite by email when your batch opens.
What data do you collect?
The app collects nothing. Your goals, sessions and pet live only on your iPhone, with no account. The website only keeps your email if you join the waitlist. Details are in theprivacy policy.
